LaserVault’s newest solution makes deduplication with replication affordable for the SMB.

IBM i shops using IBM Storwize V3700 can now add deduplication and replication to their data protection. With LaserVault’s new UBD Replacador IT departments can strengthen their backup operations.

IBM i shops can use UBD Replacador to save deduplicated backups to the Storwize device. The deduplication is provided by Windows 2012 R2 and enables the user to maximize the storage capacity of the V3700. The Windows deduplicated backups can then be replicated offsite to a second V3700 for disaster recovery using UBD Replacador. The replication can be completed on demand or as a scheduled task for hands-free execution.

IBM Storwize V3700 is the entry-level system in the IBM Storwize family of storage products.

UBD Replacador is a tape emulation backup solution that includes Windows 2012 R2 deduplication and Replacador replication for IBM i (iSeries, AS/400, System i) and Linux.
