IBM GPFS Native RAID V4.1 with GPFS Storage Server V2.5 improves the usability and management of GPFS Storage Server solutions and now combines the performance of IBM Power Systems servers with industry-leading General Parallel File System (GPFS) to offer a high-performance, scalable building block approach to modern storage needs.

 

With GPFS Native RAID and the GPFS Storage Server solution, your performance and capacity increase as you add GPFS Storage Servers. This GPFS solution is cost competitive and offers features that enhance the reliability, availability, and serviceability of data storage.

 

The GPFS Native RAID GUI is enhanced for performance monitoring to include performance charting, pan and zoom capability, and usability improvements such as easier selection of certain performance metrics. Other GUI enhancements include solution-level error and failure reporting and directed maintenance procedures.

 

The GPFS Storage Server solution leverages the high demand for GPFS V4.1 software and couples it with Power System S822L servers based on IBM POWER8 technology, and Extreme Cloud Administrative Toolkit (xCAT).
