A speciaist in reusing and extending core applications, looksoftware has announced that KMR Systems and Capgemini have both selected looksoftware to modernize their applications.

KMR joins a long list of System i application vendors that are embedding looksoftware's products into their application solutions to support technologies including rich, thin, and mobile GUIs, and SOA-compliant Web services support. Capgemini plans to modernize its System i banking solution, Combank, using looksoftware.

Michael G. Galligan, CEO of KMR said, "The strong functionality of the looksoftware product suite will set us apart from our competitors. Our current outlook anticipates strong growth in all sectors of our business."

Marcus Dee of looksoftware said, "KMR's experience and knowledge of its target market is reflected in the rich functionality of its application solutions. Like many of our application partners, KMR needs to deliver new capabilities that reuse this existing code quickly and easily. The needs for rich, thin, and mobile GUIs, and easier integration are immediate. They understand Web services and SOA are their future, and we can get them there without their having to change their RPG code."

The looksoftware application vendor program is suited to any System i application vendor with existing System i applications. Partners include: Active Logistics, Fiserv, E-Buzz, Innovative Computing Corporation, Optimum Solutions, LANSA, and now, Capgenini, to name a few.
