S4i Systems, Inc. announced today it has finalized an agreement with Tallega Software to market S4i's software solutions throughout the United States. S4i, with headquarters in Oceanside, Calif., provides electronic document management and DASD management solutions for the System i.

Tallega Software specializes in delivering value-based, content-centric information capture solutions. Its range of solutions includes document imaging software, scanners, advanced OCR software, remote capture solutions, forms recognition, and workflow solutions for System i environments. It also offers highly-experienced implementation services, as well as on-going maintenance. Tallega Software is based in Mission Viejo, Calif., with offices elsewhere in the U.S.

S4i's new partnership with Tallega Software is a result of its objective to expand product distribution channels in 2008. According to Susanne States, S4i's director of marketing and sales, "We want to focus our resources more on product development and support, and align ourselves with companies that are highly qualified to bring these solutions to market. Tallega Software's expertise centers on information capture and content management solutions of various forms. Content management solutions need to be tailored to fit the client and Tallega doesn't just ship software to new clients and call it a day. Instead, they spend time meticulously analyzing a company's unique business requirements and apply technology that really fits."

Analysts are forecasting significant growth in the content management marketplace. People are becoming accustomed to accessing information instantly over the Web and companies are gradually moving towards enterprise content management, but often not quickly enough to suit users. "In some instances employees are cobbling together solutions to simplify content management on their own," says States.

"We have been looking for an organization like S4i for a long time," says David Gerber, Tallega's president and co-founder. "They have made an impressive commitment to the System i marketplace and have been spending a lot of time enhancing the functionality and value of their products. Great products, great people, and they truly care about their customers. They even offer 24x7 support, which is quite unique in this market segment."
