Tampa, Fla., locals are proud to kick off Ryan's Run in memory of Ryan McCall, in hopes of making this an annual event.

IntelliChief, LLC, a leading provider of Paperless Process Management (PPM) solutions for the IBM I (System i, iSeries, AS/400) Enterprise, sponsors local event, Ryan's Run, in memory of Ryan McCall who was a victim of a heinous crime and taken from his family and friends on August 19, 2009. McCall was a rising athlete and senior at the University of Tampa, student of Exercise Science, runner of track and cross country--the type of person who had a positive influence on all people he encountered.

Ryan's Run is a dedication to the ideals that McCall believed in. The proceeds will go toward two scholarships for a Hillsborough County High School senior boy and girl who share the same principles and work ethic that Ryan practiced. The applicants are required to have participated in either track or cross country with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

The event will be on March 26th, 2011 at Ybor Centennial Park on East 8th Avenue in Tampa. Registration starts around 6:30am, followed by the 5K run at 7:30. If you're not a runner, the event features a 2 mile walk, or a 100 meter kid's fun run.

If you are looking to donate to the cause or register early for the event, log on to http://www.ryanpmccall.com or make checks payable to Daila's Reach Inc., Ryan McCall Memorial Fund Account and send to Ryan's Run, 1006 Orca Ct, Holiday, FL 34691.
