IBM Bluemix Dedicated, a single-tenant Bluemix environment hosted in an isolated SoftLayer instance and managed by IBM, introduces additional capability to further manage and secure your dedicated environment.

IBM Bluemix Dedicated is an implementation of the IBM open cloud architecture. Bluemix Dedicated is a single-tenant Bluemix environment hosted in an isolated SoftLayer instance and managed by IBM. This platform enables developers to build applications around their most sensitive data and deploy them in a dedicated cloud environment.

Bluemix Dedicated gives you access to a collaborative, cloud-based platform in a single-tenant environment. It is hosted in an IBM cloud center of your choice to allow for maximum control over where data resides. Supported with dedicated hardware from within a SoftLayer cloud center and direct network connectivity to the enterprise, Bluemix Dedicated gives you the unique benefits of SoftLayer, including a built-in private network, with control and workload visibility.

To complement the initial Bluemix Dedicated offering, the following are available for Bluemix Dedicated:

  • IBM Bluemix Dedicated Community Services Instance
  • IBM Bluemix Dedicated Hardware Firewall - High Availability Instance
  • IBM Bluemix Dedicated 10gb Vyatta VPN Configured for High Availability
  • IBM Bluemix Dedicated Instance One Time Set Up Fee

Developers can build and run applications in Bluemix Dedicated, as well as pull in services from the IBM public Bluemix catalog. Coupled with the growing network of IBM local cloud centers, Bluemix Dedicated helps clients address concerns over data sovereignty, performance, and compliance by giving them more control over the physical location of their data and production environments.

Bluemix Dedicated is available for purchase on a subscription basis.
