IBM® Guardium® Multi-Cloud Data Protection V10.1.2 is a suite of solutions that delivers the same value of Guardium Data Protection, but now offers pricing and licensing tailored for the cloud. Cloud data security is a top priority for most organizations. Many organizations are adopting Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) environments and need to ensure that their structured and unstructured data sources hosted in these environments meet the same data security standards as their data sources managed on premises.

The following new offerings can help organizations protect their cloud data sources hosted in IaaS environments:

  • IBM Guardium Multi-Cloud Data Protection for Databases
  • IBM Guardium Multi-Cloud Data Protection for Files
  • IBM Guardium Multi-Cloud Data Protection for Big Data
  • IBM Guardium Multi-Cloud Data Protection for Data Warehouses

In addition to taking advantage of IaaS environments, many organizations are also adopting Database as a Service (DBaaS) offerings, and need help understanding the following questions: What data is in the cloud? Is it sensitive? What data security risks or exposures exist, and how can they be remediated?

IBM Guardium Multi-Cloud Vulnerability Assessment for Data Sources, also new with this release, can help customers answer these questions for data sources managed by DBaaS offerings, as well as for data hosted in IaaS environments.

These offerings include ready-to-use virtual images for most major cloud vendors.
