Broadened relationship to help more organizations with high availability, backup and recovery for IBM i

HelpSystems, an IBM Business Partner, announced today that it is evolving its longtime relationship with IBM to help more organizations ensure their critical IT infrastructure achieves high availability, is backed up properly, and enables developers to be highly productive.

Through this collaboration, HelpSystems will accelerate enhancements and marketing for IBM i products, including Backup, Recovery and Media Services (BRMS) on i, PowerHA SystemMirror for i and Rational Developer for i. HelpSystems will also enhance the development of Rational Developer for AIX and Linux (RDAL).

IBM will continue to integrate and deliver these strategic products into the IBM i operating system, and HelpSystems will enhance the offerings based on IBM's strategy and industry feedback.

“HelpSystems’ dedication to our customers and expertise on these platforms continues to impress us,” said Dexter Henderson, VP Power Systems, IBM. “They were a natural partner to help us improve delivery of key solutions like high availability, backup and development tools and, in turn, help more customers.”

“We are thrilled and honored to work more closely with IBM on these popular solutions,” said Chris Heim, CEO, HelpSystems. “The combination of our technologies is a powerful way to drive meaningful value for IBM customers worldwide.”
