Zing delivers a performance boost to Solr's near real-time search capabilities and eliminates unacceptable application pauses. In fact, the Java platform, or JVM, required pauses of up to a full minute to "garbage collect" unused information in memory. NetDocuments selected Azul's Zing to eliminate this performance issue and deliver a more consistent and nearly instantaneous search experience for its customers. After a five-minute installation (with no changes required to the application), Zing eliminated all pauses on the first test. In addition, Zing provided faster compilation for increased throughput and a tool for complete visibility into Java applications, enabling NetDocuments' operations teams to identify and resolve potential problems in a timely manner.
