New interface offers faster, easier data access and navigation.

SEQUEL Software, a Help/Systems company, has announced the release of the SEQUEL Web Interface 10, its popular browser-based interface for SEQUEL. The SEQUEL Web Interface 10 offers a new Explorer interface for richer interaction with existing SEQUEL objects, such as views and dashboards, and more powerful navigational and search capabilities

The SEQUEL Web Interface 10 provides single-click access to database data from Power Systems (System i, iSeries, AS/400) running IBM i. Its new Explorer offers a friendly, interactive, and intuitive interface for end users. Using the Explorer, users can display SEQUEL views and dashboards quickly and securely; download and save data as local files or IBM i files; send data as e-mail attachments; execute drill-down functions; and perform graphing functions for Executive Information Systems (EIS) software and other business applications. In addition, they can view SEQUEL host or client reports, and submit host reports, views, and tables for batch processing.

This new version of the SEQUEL Web Interface also offers powerful navigation capabilities. Online users can now search for objects, libraries, and categories, using wildcard characters for diverse search options. Plus, they can save recent searches for quick reference, bookmark objects for fast access, and display lists of objects they’ve used recently.

The SEQUEL Web Interface is a separately licensed add-on to SEQUEL. Its Web browser approach means secure, easy, end user access to database information across your organization without the costs and setup hassles associated with PC-based solutions.
