IBM DB2 Query Management Facility for z/OS, V11.2.1 supports additional data sources and adds self-service business intelligence.

 

IBM® DB2® Query Management Facility™ for z/OS® (DB2QMF™), V11.2.1 is a comprehensive business analytics solution that provides interactive dashboards, graphical reports, self-service BI, batch reports, and analytics through web, workstation, and mobile interfaces. It supports most structured and unstructured data sources, and is optimized for DB2 for z/OS.

 

New in this release:

DB2 QMF expands the data sources it supports.

  • For z/OS data sources: DB2 QMF adds support to data sources such as VSAM, ADABAS, flat files, and log data. This is in addition to IMS™ and DB2.
  • For non z/OS data sources: DB2 QMF now supports most structured and unstructured data. This includes relational databases and nontraditional data sources such as Apache Spark, web data, Hadoop, NoSQL, and more.

 

DB2 QMF introduces an additional web interface that enables you to quickly and simply create data visualizations and then collaborate on findings.
