Release follows similar product for IBM i and marks major step in company's strategy to automate log and compliance reporting for virtualized environments.

Safestone Technologies, provider of IBM Power Systems security and compliance solutions, has announced the release of Compliance Center for AIX. The streamlined compliance reporting tool follows the launch of Compliance Center for i on IBM Power Systems; it will shortly be followed by Compliance Center for Linux, to complete the Power offering.

Now more than ever, organizations are faced with dwindling budgets and diminished staff, while compliance regulations and audits remain constant. Cost and time saving measures are essential but often leave organizations with compromised security.

Automation of log reporting is the key to ensuring compliance standards are met while upholding company security policies. Compliance Center for AIX automates the way organizations can manage their security policies for compliance with the numerous external regulations and industry mandates.

“Releasing an AIX version of Compliance Center is a major step in our strategy of automating log and compliance reporting for virtualized environments such as the IBM Power Systems,” says Alia Ali, chief executive officer of Safestone. “Our customers are striving to drive down the costs of meeting compliance and audit requirements as business becomes more regulated and risk averse.”

Safestone’s Compliance Center for AIX is a powerful and flexible query-based reporting solution that simplifies the task of collecting and converting a vast array of audit, compliance, and security events into compliance reports.

Benefits of Compliance Center for AIX include:

  • User-friendly interface – it can be used by administrators, executives, auditors or virtually anyone in the organization tasked with managing security compliance events.
  • Easily monitor items such as network access (FTP, ODBC, SQL etc), user profiles, file permissions, plus many more.
  • Report automation – it can schedule reports across all IBM Power Systems and partitions from a single user interface.

Businesses operating in today’s dynamic economies are subject to increasing compliance regulations (Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI DSS, Basel II, HIPAA) and information security standards (ISO27002, CobiT). As a result, organizations are looking for a software solution to manage security and compliance across complex IBM Power Systems operating environments. Partner of choice for organizations with the most stringent security and compliance requirements, Safestone provides the most comprehensive solution in IBM i and AIX security to over 700 blue-chip customers worldwide. The module-based solutions are flexible, scalable, easy to implement and use, allowing the solution to address all varying degrees of audit, compliance and security requirements. Safestone has built up a global network over more than 21 years, providing localized sales, consultancy and professional services to help organizations manage all their IBM Power System security requirements.
