Raz-Lee Security Inc., a leading vendor of security solutions for the System i, has announced a new Application Security suite of solutions being added to iSecurity. The Application Security group of solutions provides information on all changes to business-critical data increasingly important in the areas of finance, ERP, healthcare, and banking. The solutions provide users with real-time alerts and timeline reports.

Other products today address only infrastructure security, such as network access (firewall), auditing, and viruses (anti-virus software), but solutions that address security requirements of enterprise business-critical data are scarce, according to Raz-Lee. This shortfall continues despite increasing demand generated by the marketplace and auditors and regulators, the company says. Raz-Lee's pioneering approach has led it to create a series of distinctive application security solutions that respond to industry needs based on patent-pending technology, says the company.

The Application Security suite's flagship product, AP-Journal, generates real-time threshold-activated alerts indicating changes in business-critical data and produces before-and-after change reports covering decades of application history. For instance, AP-Journal can send a message to an application manager when the interest rate changes by more than 0.5 percent, or when a programmer's salary changes by more than $500. Additional products in the suite are Capture, which saves a full record of all user session screens for investigative and compliance purposes, and View, which controls permissions for viewing specific field and record data.
