Comodo, a global leader in identity and trust assurance management solutions, has announced that it is releasing an update of BOCleanùversion 4.24. BOClean is a leading anti-malware solution that provides protection because it detects, shuts down, and removes any malware that may slip past other installed security precautions such as firewalls.

Offered for free, BOClean has two additions. First, it now operates on a wide range of Windows-based platforms (e.g., Windows for Workgroups 3.11, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP and Windows Vista). Second, BOClean now has a button marked "rollback," which permits the user to revert to the previous BOClean update in the event of a defective download.

Other key features:

  • It can be deployed on a single computer or over a network and can be customized for any network or institutional situation.
  • It is designed to complement traditional anti-virus solutions by checking executable files just before they run.
  • It consults its database of 278,000 malware signatures (which equates to nearly 2 million malware variants) and instantly kills a process if malware is detected.

Deployment is simple and, once installed, it requires no further maintenance. BOClean, recently named the number one anti-malware of choice in a broadbandreports.com poll. See Poll Results
