Patrick Townsend Security Solutions (PTSS), formerly Patrick Townsend & Associates, has transformed and updated its logo, image, and Web site during the past month and is now launching a series of free Webinars on encryption. The first will air Sept. 16 at 10 a.m. PT.

"PTSS has undergone an extensive transformation over the last month that has included a new logo, new Web site, and a new blog," says Townsend. "We also have been working on developing an education series focusing on encryption."

Townsend is concerned about performance challenges that organizations face as they try to implement data security solutions to meet ongoing compliance requirements.

"Many organizations don't realize that inadequate attention to encryption performance can lead to increased costs, compliance failure, and exposure to legal liability," says Townsend, a recognized encryption expert.

"Encrypting and securing sensitive data will continue to be a business imperative. A bulletproof encryption strategy is predicated on a key management strategy that is multi-platform compatible and functions effectively across the enterprise," says Townsend.

Encouraged by user inquiries, Townsend will kick off his first in a series of educational Webinars on the subject with one entitled, "Don't Let Poor Encryption Performance Slow Down Your Business." The Webinar will explain the basic facts about encryption performance and show users what they can do to avoid problems. It will detail how it is possible to encrypt 10 million credit cards in just seven seconds with minimal impact on the production environment using the right tools and procedures.

The first Webinar is scheduled for 10 a.m. PT, Tuesday, Sept. 16. Townsend will give a 30-minute presentation on ways to prevent the encryption of data from impacting an organization's system. The presentation will explain the basic facts about encryption performance and show users what can be done to avoid problems. To register, click  Register Here.
