IBM Encryption Pattern for Security First SPxBitFiler can encrypt the file system content as part of the pattern deployment process of almost any virtual machine deployed through a pattern (either virtual system or virtual application). This product is based on SPxBitFiler technology from Security First Corporation. SPxBitFiler offers data-at-rest protection for enterprise-class storage and cloud computing. This technology can create a transparent file system, by encrypting the data stored in the file system. SPxBitFiler can simplify restoration of data stored on the file system, by helping to create a highly security-enhanced and available data solution. This encryption solution is FIPS 140-2 level 2-certified.

 

With IBM Encryption Pattern for Security First SPxBitFiler, users may enable file system encryption by entering minimal configuration information, such as the file system directories to be encrypted.

 

IBM Encryption Pattern for Security First SPxBitFiler can deliver the following function:

  • Embeds encryption into patterns deployed in PureApplication System.
  • Encrypts sensitive files easily with just a few clicks.
  • Integrates with both virtual application and virtual system patterns.
