VeriFone has announced the release of V5.7.1 of Service Pack 8 for its PC-based payment software, PCCharge.

This new version addresses two compliance requirementsùthe American Express Card Acceptance Processing Network (CAPN), and Visa Card Level Results. All merchants, including PCCharge customers, will be subject to per-transaction fees from American Express and Visa if not compliant by their respective deadlines.

PCCharge is a PC-based payment software and 5.7.1 Service Pack 8 may be purchased and/or obtained from a VeriFone authorized reseller. For more information, please call (800) 725-9264.

Meanwhile, VeriFone also announced that the IPCharge Web-based payment gateway service now features recurring billing management capabilities. IPCharge Recurring Billing allows merchants to easily and efficiently set up contracts to bill end-customer credit cards on a prescheduled, consistent, basis in a PCI compliant manner.

The recurring billing capabilities incorporate a broad range of management and reporting functions that are accessed by both resellers and merchants through a streamlined and intuitive Web interface that provides the look and feel of familiar desktop applications.
