IssueTrak, an internationally recognized leader in issue tracking, help desk and customer support, has released the latest version of its namesake Windows-based software.
"Like any highly regarded product, great software evolves over time," says IssueTrak CEO Hank Luhring. "Our customers stay with us because we do more than just listen to them. We actively seek their feedback and suggestions. Each new feature is a reflection of that collaborative environment."
However, as IssueTrak COO Douglas Christian puts it, "features are meaningless unless they're used. Our latest version reflects our belief that feature and functionality go hand-in-hand. 8.0 is a powerful tool for any organization looking to improve information flow, accountability and productivity."
IssueTrak 8.0 offers several new improvements and enhancements, including:
- Issue Classes--classify your issues into categories such as "incident" or "change request" and view dashboard counts and reports for each issue class.
- Filtered Issue Types, Subtypes and Quick Picks--can be limited to specific organizations and/or groups.
- Organization Administration Role--categorize your users into distinct organizations and then assign an administrator to create and edit users and groups within their organization.
- Knowledge Base--allow anonymous access to your Knowledge Base by allowing any user to search and view public articles without logging in.
- Tasks--cancel remaining tasks after a defined response and send email notifications to groups and/or individuals.
- Screen Pops--locate current caller and any corresponding issue information when call information is routed to a special URL.
- Asset Management--Automatically match and assign assets to IssueTrak Users. Plus, users can now archive audit records.
- Password Reset--Allow users to define their own challenge questions for use with IssueTrak or Active Directory password reset.
- Out of Office--Automatic issue assignment based on time and day will accommodate separate shifts within organization's hours of operation.
- Automatic Installation--makes installing and upgrading quick and easy.
