Following the recent launch of LongRange, the first native mobile app builder for RPG developers, comes LongRange University, free online education for building stylish, high-performance Apple and Android mobile apps fully integrated with your core IBM i applications, without acquiring a whole new set of skills and technologies. Through a variety of online media, LongRange University provides a convenient, simple way for developers to learn how to build their first native mobile application.

The education kicks off with LongRange 101 – a 60-minute live, interactive workshop where attendees learn about the LongRange architecture, watch a live demonstration of a native app, and deconstruct the native demo app and review its code. Developers will also learn how mobile apps can come alive by using their existing skills to access the native built-in features of mobile devices.

After "graduating" from LongRange 101, attendees can check out the 200-level video tutorial sessions, which serve as a guide for installing LongRange on their mobile device, IBM i server and developer workstation.

Once LongRange is installed, developers can continue their education with the 300-level sessions – allowing them to get "hands-on" with a series of self-paced exercises that steers them through the process of building native mobile apps that are fully integrated with their IBM i, allowing them to dazzle their boss and co-workers.

LongRange University is "tuition"-free – and attendees get complimentary use of the LongRange software as they complete their university education.
