IBM PureApplication Software V2.2 and IBM PureApplication System V2.2 Enhances High Availability and Disaster Recovery, Expands Options for Generating Chargeback Reports, and Introduces Support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2 for IBM POWER 8.

 

IBM® PureApplication® Software V2.2 and IBM PureApplication System firmware update V2.2:

  • Enables you to leverage an existing IP based WAN to lower costs and simplify configuration for disaster recovery.  
  • Doubles the number of nodes that can participate in a multisystem subdomain for improved support of workloads requiring high availability.
  • Enables administrators to easily track PureApplication System resource utilization by organization or business unit to simplify cost recovery and chargeback administration.
  • Enables support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux™ 7.2 for IBM POWER8® little endian for IBM PureApplications System W3700.

 

If you have IBM PureApplication Service, you can build secure tiered applications consisting of private and public networks, and leverage the IBM SoftLayer® DirectLink cloud exchange capabilities for faster connections to your PureApplication Service instances.

 

If you have a PureApplication System W1500, W1700, W2500, W2700, or W3700 with support, you are entitled to PureApplication System firmware V2.2. Contact your IBM representative.
