IBM intends to offer new IBM Flex System offerings that provide higher levels of IT efficiency, reliability, and security. These new additions to the portfolio include new IBM Flex System Compute Nodes, Networking offerings, and local Storage options for select Compute Nodes. These new offerings include:

  • IBM Flex System x240 M5 Compute Node with new Intel Xeon E5-2600 v3 processors and up to 1.5 TB maximum memory
  • IBM Flex System x440 Compute Node with Intel Xeon E5-4600 v2 processors
  • IBM SD Media RAID Adapter for System x
  • IBM Flex System SI4091 Interconnect Module
  • IBM Flex System EN4172 10GbE Ethernet adapter
  • IBM Flex System CN4052 2-port 10Gb Virtual Fabric Adapter
