Elite's Electronic Signature Capture module was introduced in 2006 with the capability of capturing signatures to print or store them for use on documents. With the success of this module, Elite has decided to compliment the module with a credit card payment feature, according to Andrew Rackauckas, president of Elite Document Solutions.

Called the Elite Credit Card Processing module, it allows a user to electronically swipe a credit or debit card at the time of purchase or delivery. Elite's Credit Card Processing is supported in both mobile and hardwired environments.

During order processing or delivery of products, the software launches the ability to swipe a credit card for payment. The transaction is securely processed for approval by Verisign PayFlow for payment settlement. Once the transaction is complete, the receipt, along with any additional required correspondence, is printed out and stored for later retrieval.

Allied Refrigeration, a company that was featured in Business Management magazine's fourth quarter edition for a success story on the implementation of Elite's complete document management solution and electronic signature capture, is the first company to implement Elite's new credit card processing module as an add-on to its current sales process. Features of the software that Allied is finding useful include the following:

  • Allows convenient in-house acceptance of payments
  • Enhances the customer's experience by speeding up its checkout process
  • Employs Verisign's PayFlow, owned by PayPal, that protects millions of transactions every day across the world's data networks and has leading encryption methods and security protocols to prevent fraud.

Rackauckas says the company is working on new features to be released soon including electronic document management solutions for the PC environment. Elite will be expanding its services both to the 400 and PC environment.
