IBM WebSphere DataPower Service Gateway XG45 and WebSphere DataPower Integration Appliance XI52 are available as virtual editions to run in VMware hypervisor environments.

 

The virtual editions deliver the following capabilities:

  • A flexible, cost-effective choice for nonproduction environments
  • All virtual edition optional features included free for nonproduction environments
  • A production solution for environments not suitable for physical appliance deployment
  • Seamless configuration migration between DataPower physical and virtual appliances
  • Ability to use virtual appliances for development and test environments and physical appliances for staging, production, and disaster recovery

 

These virtual editions are designed to provide industry-leading workload security, optimization, and integration functionality similar to the corresponding physical appliance models.

 

Each WebSphere DataPower virtual edition appliance is powered by a purpose-built platform including an embedded, optimized DataPower Operating System.
