CYBRA, the developer of award-winning MarkMagic bar code software for labels, RFID tags, and electronic forms, and EdgeMagic-an integrated RFID control software for the IBM System i, is reaching out to a new generation of iSeries/System i professionals while paying tribute to veteran code warriors.

To reach this audience, CYBRA decided to create online videos with a message tailored for new media. The "MarkMagic Bar Code Software Chronicles" is a series of videos featuring "the 2,000 Year Old Programmer"-known as "2K"-with his cool, young counterpart, "Auto-ID." Over the course of the videos, 2K discovers that you don't have to do "heavy lifting" to print bar codes. He also finds his package (and his keys!) with the magic of RFID.

The message is clear: MarkMagic bar code software makes it a snap for both the new kids on the block and grizzled vets to knock out sophisticated bar code labels, electronic forms, and RFID tags. As 2K puts it, "Pshhhhh! MarkMagic bar code software is cool!"

About the Videos

Jerry Selkin, a retired New York City school principal, plays "2K," the "2,000 Year Old Programmer." Born, raised, and residing in Bronx, N.Y., Jerry, who turned 80 this month, has just recently started using a computer-no doubt to see his work online. Jay and partner Dov Friedman produce television commercials, viral commercial videos, short films, and corporate Web video.
