United Computer Group, Inc. (UCG) has released VAULT400 Agent 6.0 for IBM i. This new agent includes several improvements relating to performance, security, ease of use and integration.
VAULT400 Agent 6.0 for IBM i improves backup and restore performance. Seeding, restore and backup of small object workflows are significantly faster through DeltaPro enhancements. Bandwidth throttling minimizes disruptions to day-to-day business operations during backups. The DeltaPro recreation technology provides faster backups by regenerating the delta file index when it is missing or corrupt and will eliminate a reseed of data to the Vault.
Support for AES-256 encryption ensures customers running IBM i have access to the latest encryption algorithms. VAULT400 Agent 6.0 for IBM i is user friendly. Backup job creation utility provides a workflow for optimal configuration of backup jobs for new customers.
Support for LocalRecovery and UltraRecovery ensures that backups from IBM i Agents integrate seamlessly with replication capabilities of the VAULT400 Director OS support.
