Asigra Inc., a leader in agentless backup and recovery software for enterprises and service providers, and DS3 DataVaulting, a provider of online data backup and recovery vaulting services, have announced a partnership intended to deliver high-performance managed backup services to VARs, resellers, and service providers throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

DS3 DataVaulting's managed backup offering will allow channel partners to take advantage of growing end-user demand for outsourced data protection. DS3 DataVaulting managed backup will enable channel partners to protect corporate data assets across the entire enterprise including workstations, file servers, databases, and email systems, the company said.

The Asigra-powered service replaces tape-based manual backup for fast recovery of lost information in the event of system downtime. Secure remote backups and restores are performed by DS3 DataVaulting using the Internet or through dedicated high-throughput WAN connections, depending upon customer requirements. Customer data is vaulted in secure, fault-tolerant AT&T data centers that are managed by DS3 DataVaulting.

"Consistently providing our channel partners with high-value products and services is core to our mission," said Bob Stegner, senior vice president, marketing, for North America at SYNNEX Corp. "Asigra and DS3 DataVaulting have demonstrated expertise in managed backup and through our relationship we are now offering our channel partners a strong managed backup service capability."

"DS3 DataVaulting was founded on the premise that the customer is king and quality is key to ensuring top-level customer satisfaction. Beyond our proven technology and processes, we are building upon that foundation to support the channel in delivering high quality services to its customers," said Stacy Hayes, chief operating officer for DS3 DataVaulting. "We are excited to work with industry leaders like SYNNEX Corp. and look forward to meeting the demands of the channel as more customers shift to managed backup solutions."

About DS3 DataVaulting

DS3 DataVaulting was founded in 2002 to provide offsite, online data backup and restore services which enable customers to rapidly and securely back up and restore files, databases, and operating systems. DS3 DataVaulting uses state-of-the-art software to schedule and perform backups. DS3 DataVaulting’s software detects and records only block-level changes, thereby reducing the amount of data which is required to be transmitted daily for backup. The data is compressed and encrypted onsite and transmitted via the Internet to the DS3 DataVaulting data vault where it is stored. Data files are available 24/7 in the event restoration is needed. Large data restores to support disaster recovery are managed by strict service level agreements with the customers.
