IBM Web Experience Patterns for WebSphere Portal Server and IBM Web Content Manager include preinstalled, preconfigured images of WebSphere Portal Server V8 and Web Content Manager V8, and the Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server operating system. The solution can be deployed through IBM Workload Deployer or to IBM PureApplication System to drive consistent, repeatable software installations to reduce implementation time from months or weeks, to minutes.

 

Web Experience Patterns for WebSphere Portal Server and Web Content Manager Edition provide all of the robust features of WebSphere Portal Server and Web Content Manager V8, and support the Open Virtualization Format, optimized to run on top of a hypervisor such as the one in IBM PureApplication System or IBM Workload Deployer.

 

New web experience patterns and script packages are developed according to best practices, and can help accelerate web experience deployments with point and click provisioning of single server to complex clustered environments, and predefined processes that can further automate platform security, integration, Java™ virtual machine (JVM) thread and datasource management configurations.

 

Using Web Experience Patterns for WebSphere Portal Server and Web Content Manager enable better utilization of hardware and faster response to demands for newly deployed systems. This can help to reduce the cost of both hardware and software operations as well as maintenance costs.

 

IBM® Web Experience Patterns for WebSphere® Portal ServerV8.0 and IBM Web Content Manager Hypervisor Edition V8:

  • Provide IBM Web Content Manager and IBM WebSphere Portal Server V8 Hypervisor deployed functionality on Red Hat Enterprise Linux™ Server VMWare ESX environments.
