New solution lets direct marketers create and print a combined shipping and return label, or packing slip and invoice, with one simple solution.

CYBRA Corp. the developer of MarkMagic Barcode Label, RFID Tag, and SM@RT Forms software products, and EdgeMagic Integrated RFID Control Software, has announced a new printing offering specifically targeted at businesses in search of a green solution.

CYBRA has created a solution using the SATO GY412 thermal printer and CYBRA's MarkMagic software that puts both sides of a label to use while making a significant environmental impact benefiting both the earth and the bottom line.

This all-in-one, combination duplex shipping plus return-label-and-confidential-packing-slip solution features these benefits:

  • Lower cost: Eliminates the expensive and labor intensive "Packing List Enclosed" pouch
  • Higher customer satisfaction: Stops customer complaints of "no packing slip sent with order"
  • Increased accuracy with 100 percent shipping label and packing slip match
  • Fast, simple, easy handling for the distribution center as well as recipient
  • One printer versus two to maintain
  • Fewer consumables to inventory: thermal duplex packing slip versus 4x6 shipping label, plastic pouch, packing list, and toner
  • Greener footprint: Much smaller carbon footprint compared to all other systems
  • Lower total cost solution

"We've had many customers approach us for a cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution for creating and printing shipping documents. By using MarkMagic print options paired with Sato's duplex printer, digital retail and direct to consumer companies can now have the ultimate ease and flexibility to achieve outstanding results using duplex labeling," said Harold Brand, CYBRA's CEO.

"Instead of using two different printers to print the packing slip and shipping label, matching them up, inserting them into a pouch and affixing it to the package—all they need to do is print the shipping label and packing slip on one printer, with one label, and affix it to the package. This integrated solution saves time and money by giving personnel the capability to print the labels and packing slips they need, on demand, anywhere in the world," Brand said.

According to Michael Shabet, CYBRA's vice president of Sales and Marketing, "CYBRA’s Green Ship enables digital retailers to pick a carton, slap a ship label on it that includes the invoice and return label, and ship it, without opening the carton. There are no separate invoices to go in the box, or folding invoices into plastic envelopes. No putting the box into another carton. No matching of one invoice to another packing list and shipping label. Not having two printers do the work of one." Shabet concludes, "The cost savings are substantial and sustainable."
