ProData Computer Services, Inc. announces FREE releases of software to all schools involved in IBMÆs Academic Initiative and to college students competing in IBMÆs System i Innovation Challenge contest.

With this offering, ProData hopes to support IBMÆs initiative to increase student awareness of the ôall-in-oneö IBM System i computer with the use of their flagship product, DBU, the ôall-in-oneö database tool and itÆs other software offerings.

As students progress thru the phases of the Innovation Challenge, utilization of ProDataÆs productivity tools is beneficial. The utilities can support students within each phase of the contest. DBU aids students in the research of databases, SQL/Pro streamlines queries and RSP RPG Server Pages enables development of web applications.

ProData is also announcing a challenge of their own. The æDBU ChallengeÆ contest encourages those working on the System i to submit ideas for new productivity tools or enhancements to ProDataÆs current utilities. ContestantÆs ideas may æbecome the next DBUÆ, proliferated worldwide, with a cash prize of $1000 awarded at the end of the contest. Participants can submit their ideas directly on the website at www.prodatacomputer.com.
