Help/Systems, LANSA and Vision Solutions cited as product category brand leaders.

The final results of the 2010 iPulse Survey have uncovered the views of over 1,700 participants worldwide on the current condition of the IBM i industry and the leading independent software vendors in the market. The survey, conducted by LANSA in September, was promoted to the global IBM i community via email, social media and the leading industry media outlets.

Participants, representing a broad range of industries and a cross-section of job roles including business management, development and project management, were asked questions such as:

  • Is the future of your IBM i system under threat?
  • What are the future plans for your IBM i applications?
  • What budget is available for software investment?

Respondents were also asked to identify the primary vendors in specific product categories, and IBM i Independent Software Vendors Help/Systems, LANSA and Vision Solutions were named as the leaders in their respective categories.

"Help/Systems is proud to be named the leading provider of utility software solutions by iPulse survey participants," said Janet Dryer, Help/Systems CEO. "Our job scheduling, message management, and backup and recovery products are backed by over 28 years of experience and an ongoing commitment to quality."

“LANSA was pleased to be recognized as a leader in four of the nine product categories – application modernization, web enablement, application development and application integration,” said Steve Gapp, president of LANSA Americas. “For over two decades, LANSA has been providing customers around the globe with tools and solutions that allow them to achieve unparalleled levels of productivity and agility.”

“We were excited to learn that iPulse survey participants chose Vision SolutionsMIMIX and iTERA as the leading solutions in the defined product categories,” said Ed Vesely, senior vice president of marketing for Vision Solutions. “As the world’s leading provider of information availability software, Vision Solutions continues to support business continuity, satisfy compliance requirements and increase productivity for our customers.”
