Maxava, a global provider of innovative monitoring, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions continues to advance its partnership with Meridian IT Inc., part of Meridian Group International, in delivering customized solutions and services to the IBM i marketplace.

The companies joined forces in 2008 to extend the reach of advanced recovery solutions across Meridian’s diverse customer base through a combination of local expertise and cutting edge technology. Together, they delivered a proven DR solution to dozens of premise-based customers looking to eliminate data loss issues.

Recovery has traditionally hinged on downtime, but as the amount of data generated on a daily basis reaches unprecedented levels, customers have shifted their DR strategy to focus on reducing data loss,” says John Dominic, Executive Vice President of Maxava. “Meridian and Maxava are an amazing fit in regards to protecting critical data. We enable our customers to actually role swap systems on demand to eliminate data loss, thanks to a unique combination of automation and expertise.”

Since the partnership was formed, customer operations have also become more regionally diversified and the resource for the platform has shrunk. Meridian answered these needs by developing highly sophisticated cloud services enhanced by Maxava’s line of disaster recovery solutions. Again, automation plays a key role as managed services are difficult to provision with legacy products that require daily care and feeding, a challenge in one environment let alone across hundreds. Meridian IT offers several testing and simulation services to prove that their cloud systems are always at the ready and that customer investment in DR is sound.

The combination of Maxava’s automated HA/DR solutions and Meridian’s fluency in all things IT assures clients that their critical application data is continuously available in the event of any disaster or outage.
