Florida-based IBM Premiere Business Partner will implement looksoftware technologies for its customers.

looksoftware announced today it has entered into a partnership with Mainline Information Systems, a Tallahassee, Florida-based IBM Premier Business Partner, to offer looksoftware’s solutions to their IBM i customers.  With more than 600 employees, Mainline is one of the largest IBM Premier Business Partners in the U.S. and was recently certified as an IBM Cloud Builder.  The addition of looksoftware’s modernization expertise consolidates Mainline’s position as one of the leading providers of cloud solutions to the U.S. IBM i customer base.  Mainline Director of Power Systems Bob Morici further explains the reasons behind the partnership:  “Mainline has long recognized the importance of delivering additional value to our customers.  Mobile, cloud and RPG Open Access are three areas in which our customers continue to identify significant requirements, and looksoftware’s proven track record with each of these technologies makes them an ideal partner.

“Since signing the agreement with looksoftware, we have already seen two of our customers successfully implement their solutions–one delivered a customized iPad interface for their sales team, and the other integrated their systems with SharePoint and used Web services to communicate efficiently with blue-chip customers.  Every day we encounter organizations who are struggling to adapt their systems to meet the demands of business in 2012.  Based on the results we have seen so far, we are very excited about the future of this partnership,” Morici said.

looksoftware CEO Brendan Kay cites Mainline’s long-term commitment to the IBM i user base as a significant factor in the decision to enter into the partnership.  “Mainline shares our passionate belief in the future of the IBM i. Our experience with their customers so far is reflective of the community as a whole; they want to build their IT strategy around the i, but need to open it up to the many other technologies that are essential to their businesses.  Since we began working together, the people at Mainline have shown a real commitment to delivering a better and more sustainable platform to their customers, and this is why we are delighted to partner with them,” Kay said.

looksoftware has been working with the IBM i community for over 15 years, releasing the hidden value in legacy software applications that contain many years of proven business rules and processes. Through effective reuse, extension, integration and development of core business systems running on IBM servers, customers have transformed their business-critical applications to meet the demands of today’s business landscape.
