Company says limited availability means it must begin early to book appointments for next year.

SkyView Partners announced this week it is already starting to take reservations for its 2010 Security Checkup and consulting program.

The SkyView Security Checkup is a consulting service designed to provide businesses with a third party assessment of their systems' security environment.

Users may have read enough about the Payment Card Industry's (PCI) Data Security Standards, SOX, GLBA, HIPAA, and the host of other laws and regulations governing security configuration settings. But did you know that almost every one of them requires a regular vulnerability assessment of your systems' security environment? That is what SkyView Partners Security Checkup is designed to address.

Using SkyView's popular Risk Assessor product to gather the data, the client's systems' security configuration information is passed to SkyView where the company provides an independent, third-party expert review of the findings. The company develops an executive summary along with a detailed list of findings and schedules a conference call with the appropriate staff in the client organization to review the results. The team of experts is lead by security expert Carol Woodbury who is personally involved with each summary to ensure accuracy. SkyView's goal is to evaluate a businesses' security environment, educate its management on why a particular issue represents a security threat, and leave the client organization with an action plan.

The service features the following characteristics:

•           All checkups are done offsite, so SkyView doesn't have to interrupt a company's normal work flow.

•           The checkup represents an independent third-party verification of security, which  auditors appreciate.

•           It gives the business a prioritized list of "next steps" to take with your System i security.

•           It includes a telephone conversation with security expert Carol Woodbury who gets involved in the details of your system and explains what's going on.

The service also includes a one year subscription to SkyView Risk Assessor for OS/400 and i5/OS. The subscription is renewable annually, with or without the service.

Since there are only a limited number of appointments available, SkyView is scheduling these early so that everyone interested can have an equal chance to participate.
