IntelliChief and B&L Information Systems to offer electronic document management, integrated with software solutions for Foundry and Die-Casting professionals

IntelliChief LLC, a leading paperless process management solutions provider today announce an exclusive integration partnership with B&L Information Systems, the top enterprise software provider for Foundry and Die-Casting professionals.

IntelliChief document management and document workflow solutions have been seamlessly integrated with B&L's Odyssey ERP application. This is an extension of the relationship that dates back several years centered on the similar integration of IntelliChief and BLIS-400, B&L's iSeries-based ERP. When either Odyssey or BLIS-400 is used in conjunction with IntelliChief, it enables the creation and capture of key business documents electronically, making them available directly from a users' desktop computer and application screens. This helps users to better, and more accurately, manage the complex business processes surrounding the receipt of unstructured data in the form of paper-based business documents generated internally or received by their supply chain partners and customers.

The solution is highly-customizable: system administrators can use a central screen to configure the integration points and select which documents they would like to automatically index and store; what screens documents will be available from; and when users will be prompted to scan physical documents. Documents are securely stored and indexed for easy retrieval by authorized users.

"The goal of this project is to provide the Odyssey community with the same deep level of integration that BLIS-400 customers have had for years." says Doug Hinman at B&L Information Systems. "As with the BLIS-400integration, B&L has taken the lead, has written the Odyssey integration, and will maintain it as future versions are released", he continues.

Through this integration, users will be able to manage their organization with more accurate, fully-integrated, and entirely up-to-date information -- resulting in improved information quality, accessibility, and analysis -- while eliminating redundant data and tasks.

Michael Jasper, Partner Development Manager at IntelliChief, states, "Users can expect lower labor costs due to faster business document processing in many areas, including: Purchase-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and elsewhere in the organization where business effectiveness is hampered by the inefficient handling of paper-based documents in complicated processes.  The combined solution also enables organizations to be audit compliant and has been engineered to make internal and external audits more efficient and cost effective."

Customers looking to gain these enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce costs in accounting, purchasing, customer service, and other departments should contact B&L Information Systems or IntelliChief for more information.
