"We are proud to present this award to Vision Solutions Inc.,...internationally recognized as a leader in the field of high-availability and disaster-recovery software," said Han Chung Heng, business unit executive and general manager of IBM's System i platform in the Asia Pacific region, based in Shanghai. Vlok said he was honored to accept the award and added, "We are extremely committed to providing the world's most innovative information availability management solutions. This honor is an appreciated reflection of each dedicated member within our company."

While in Macau, Vlok spoke at the strategic planning conference about the future of high availability, both as a technology and as an industry, including why the HA industry is set to expand significantly within the region.

"Asia Pacific is one of Vision's fastest growing geographies," said Vision Solutions' vice president of sales for Asia Pacific, Allan Campbell.
