In the shadow of Y2K, I re-entered the newsletter business I first started back in 1981. Since re-entering this newsletter field, I've written and published dozens and dozens of articles on RPG IV and System i. But I can see that it's time to move on. To keep things fresh, to keep things evolving and moving forward requires change. To that end, this is the final newsletter I'll be producing with MC Press.

MCPressOnline.com has been my host for more than six years of newsletters, has a wonderful staff, and provides what I think is one of the easiest to navigate technical Web sites around. They don't require you to sign over your firstborn child just to read an article, and that's how it should be. It has been a pleasure working with all of them, particularly Victoria Mack, who edits my prose so that you all keep coming back.

Over the years, I've written a lot about RPG IV, about the System i marketplace, about RPG World, COMMON, and even IBM. Often, the articles I pulled out of thin air and expected to get little or no response to were the articles with the most feedback.

The emotion of being an RPG programmer, or better yet, a System i Professional is strong. We tend to be like Apple Mac users. Or are they actually more like us?

At the end of the day, though, we all need to support ourselves and our families, and that doesn't just mean money; it means spending time doing interesting things and being excited about what your next adventure is going to be.

I really enjoy writing about RPG IV, using CGI with RPG IV, writing utilities in RPG IV, and teaching all of it to all of you.

Keep in touch, and if I don't see you at RPG World, I'm sure I'll see you online somewhere.

Thanks for all of your support.
