One of the first industry dealers to deploy a UNIT4 CODA solution, Thompson decides to upgrade its existing financial software on the venerable IBM platform.

UNIT4 CODA, Inc., a division of UNIT4, has announced that Thompson Machinery, the authorized dealer for Caterpillar equipment in central and western Tennessee and central and northern Mississippi, is upgrading its installation of Coda Financials accounting software.

Thompson Machinery, whose roots date back to 1944, is a privately owned family business that employs more than 475 people in 11 locations. Headquartered in LaVergne, Tennessee, Thompson was on the cutting edge in 1994 when it was one of the first Caterpillar dealers to deploy Coda Financials.

"The key principles for Thompson Machinery—lasting relationships, superior services, and intelligent solutions—fit perfectly as a cornerstone for the UNIT4-Thompson bond. Running on the IBM i system, Coda Financials provides a long-term, blended solution that integrates perfectly with the Dealer Management System," says Steven J. Pugh, UNIT4 CODA's CEO.
