IBM Marketing Cloud, a cloud-based digital marketing platform, allows marketers to achieve faster return on investment (ROI) through key capabilities that include the ability to design and automate consistent, cross-channel experiences through email, mobile, web, and social channels.
Duplicate Message Send, a new capability of IBM Marketing Cloud, allows organizations to receive an exact duplicate or copy of any personalized email that is sent to customers. Copies of sent emails can then be retained for purposes of archival, regulatory, or organizational compliance, audit, or customer support.
Duplicate Message Send uses the Bcc field in the email to identify the organization's email address that will receive a copy of the sent customer email. Email addresses that users enter in the Bcc field are invisible to the email recipients. Organizations can specify the Bcc address at the contact source level and can change the Bcc address to a different Bcc address to help manage email volume.
To use Duplicate Message Send, organizations must have a subscription to one of the following:
- IBM Marketing Cloud Standard
- IBM Marketing Cloud B2B Standard
- IBM Marketing Cloud Enterprise
- IBM Marketing Cloud B2B Enterprise
