Shield Advanced Solutions has announced the availability of Version 1.1 of its Receiver Apply Program/400 (RAP/400)ùjournal receiver apply program for the IBM System i5.

The product has been significantly improved to provide the user with a true disaster-recovery solution at an affordable cost. Built on technology developed with the assistance of IBM, this is a revolutionary new approach to data replication for the IBM System i5.

Some features available in this release include:

  • Full support for journaled object creation on the target side. This includes DB files.
  • Support for up to 100 journal configurations
  • Remote journal monitor for failure escalation
  • Easy-to-use menus and panels
  • Error display that gives details of specific errors
  • Full context-sensitive help
  • Improved performance

    RAP/400 installs and can be configured in less than one day. The price is based on the number of journals required to be configured to the replication process, rather than the CPU size.
