Shield Introduces Spool File Replication in HA4i

Solution supports replication of new spool files created in specific output queues, while any changes to spool files are carried over to the target system. 

Shield Advanced Solutions, Ltd. has announced the availability of spool file replication in its flagship HA4i high availability product. 

A new feature which allows the replication of spool files at the output queue level is now available in HA4i. This new feature provides support for the replication of new spool files that have been created in specific output queues, also any changes to spool files will be picked up and carried over to the target system.

Chris Hird, Shield president, says, "Spool file replication is the last major milestone we needed to complete to bring a rounded HA solution to the market. While our existing customers do not use it today, many have said that under certain circumstances, they could do with the capability. Also a number of prospects have said it is a required feature for them to move forward with the product. We are pleased to announce that we now offer this support and are very happy with how it came together."

This new functionality is available via a PTF, which can be downloaded from the Shield website www.shieldadvanced.ca.

As always, Shield’s products are available online for a 30-day free trial.
