Fisher Auto Parts Selects IntelliChief for Document Management

IntelliChief solution expected to bring significant cost savings to the legendary auto parts supplier. 

IntelliChief, LLC, a provider of paperless process management (PPM) solutions for the IBM i (System i, iSeries, AS/400) enterprise, has announced that Fisher Auto Parts has selected IntelliChief to raise efficiency across department operations. By choosing IntelliChief, Fisher is demonstrating a commitment to reducing its use of paper, while decreasing company costs and document processing time, according to the companies.

"Fisher Auto Parts is excited about the operational efficiencies the IntelliChief product will help bring to our Accounts Payable process. Routine transactions will now flow through the system with minimal touches and the manual filing of thousands of paper documents each month will be eliminated," said Joe Vaughn, chief financial officer of Fisher Auto Parts. "We are looking forward to expanding the use of the IntelliChief product to benefit other processes in the months ahead."

Fisher Auto Parts has accommodated the installer and do-it-yourself customer since 1929. It has developed into a dominant regional provider of high-quality, name brand auto parts in 15 states across the U.S.

The company is owned by the Fisher family and run by CEO Bo Fisher. Parts professionals at the company are among the most qualified in the country, with the finest tools and programs available to serve the customer, according to the firm. The expertise of Fisher employees has earned them the trust of numerous installers over the last 82 years and helped fuel the impressive growth of the company.

Fisher is also the founder of Federated Auto Parts, an automotive programmed distribution group that serves more than 3,800 retail locations. Through the elimination of paper and the automation of their Accounts Payable process, Fisher expects a return on investment for IntelliChief in less than 12 months. The company's IntelliChief solution integrates with their custom, home-grown application, and includes licenses of IntelliChief, Formtastic Checks, and the IntelliChief Capture Enterprise module for OCR/forms processing.

The initial IntelliChief implementation at Fisher includes creating, capturing, processing, approving, and storing documents in their Accounts Payable process.
