Highlights of V1.1 of Rocket Device Adapter Pack for IBM Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager include features that help:

  • Provide support for hardware snapshots on UNIX and Linux platforms developed, delivered, and supported by Rocket Software.
  • Extend capabilities of Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager V4.1 for VMware, IBM DB2 , Oracle, and SAP applications as well as custom applications for environments where the data resides on EMC Symmetrix storage.

 

IBM Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager includes features and benefits designed to:

  • Manage application-aware snapshot-based data protection for faster backups and near-instant restores of application data.
  • Enable faster, simpler recovery of individual files and volumes from the snapshots.
  • Provide a database cloning function to create a duplicate of databases.
  • Enable off-site copying for enhanced data protection through integration with IBM Tivoli Storage Manager.
