The IBM i2 Intelligence Analysis portfolio comprises a suite of products specifically designed to bring clarity through the analysis of the mass of information available to complex investigations and scenarios. IBM i2 Analyze provides the portfolio with an enterprise intelligence analysis environment that facilitates information sharing and intelligence production through both its analysis web client as well as IBM i2 Analyst's Notebook Premium.

Version 4.1 enhances the discovery capabilities in the analysis web client by:

  • Enabling users to construct visual queries over the information store so they can look for patterns in large volumes of data to help them find information more efficiently.
  • Improving the text search feature to include fuzzy matches such as synonyms and words that are spelled like the search terms to help users avoid missing relevant information or needing multiple searches to complete the same task.
  • Introducing an advanced search feature that gives the user a consistent search experience across data stores to help reduce the learning curve.
  • Allowing users to start multiple searches and be notified when each search has completed so they can work on other tasks in parallel to help improve their productivity.

Version 4.1 also includes enhancements to help increase the usability of the intelligence portal and analysis repository by:

  • Delivering a method for system implementers to modify group access permissions after deployment so they can respond to changing customer security requirements.
  • Refining importing rules to allow an item to merge when there are multiple duplicates, but only one matching item with the same security settings.
