Rapid application software tool developer mrc has announced a series of initiatives across three new partnership categories—including consulting, sales, and marketing—that are designed to encourage ISVs, business consultants, and others to sell its popular rapid application development tool.

The company's flagship product, m-Power, is mrc's rapid application development software that allows users to both create new data-driven Web applications and modernize existing business applications. Independent consultants who are interested in m-Power and would like to partner with mrc can both modernize their own offerings, to expand their sales channels to new platforms and industries (without any run-time fees), or simply earn commissions as m-Power distributors—or both.

Sales partnerships can run the gamut from a simple strategic business alliance to engaging in formal distribution. The latter can be based on a pre-negotiated licensing or consulting commission structure or even private-label partnerships—and anything in between. mrc partners with software companies that offer solutions as broad-ranging as ERP systems or as specific as query tools. Many of them will private-label m-Power. They can package it with their own offering, modernize their software to bring it to the Web, or distribute m-Power. The partners can earn commissions as well as referral fees.

Marketing partnerships are also available to ISVs and hardware companies who wish to expand their market share and channel expansion to new platforms. These initiatives can include co-marketing projects, lead-sharing, promotion of Web-seminars, and co-branding via newsletters and press releases. Specialized training is available.
