Latest version includes newly integrated optical character recognition modules, enhancements to the IntelliChief workbench, workflow, and document repository.

IntelliChief, LLC, provider of paperless process management (PPM) solutions for the IBM i (System i, iSeries, AS/400) enterprise, announced at COMMON the release of IntelliChief V3.2. This latest version of IntelliChief offers customers a significantly enhanced document management experience via improved capabilities with document capture, workflow, and document distribution. Current customers can achieve significant savings and improvements in their business processes by taking advantage of the new release, according to the company.

Version 3.2 product enhancements include:

Enhancements to the Workbench/Viewer—Recipients are automatically saved as User Contacts in the Workbench/Viewer to avoid having to re-key them each time. Also, users may now retrieve related documents while the document is being processed via workflow and will enjoy having a more detailed document history listing.

A New Workflow Stage—The Workflow Distribution stage provides the ability to automatically distribute documents via email/fax and control distribution and printing of documents within the workflow process.

Robust, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) Capabilities—New document capture modules combine indexing automation with recognition and provide OCR with rules-based validations to automate the capturing of index fields and eliminate manual keying.

A Restructured Document Repository and Document Purge—Allows for an active repository and an optional history repository where users can move documents from an active directory to a historical directory on the same disk or on a separate disk.

Release 3.2 is available immediately.
