To introduce its new Classified Ads section, the company is offering a free 30-day ad to all registered users.

MC Press Online has announced its new Classified Ads section where registered users can post their computer equipment or specialized skills. For a limited time—through Dec. 31—MC Press Online is offering one free 30-day ad for all registered users. When logging into the Classified Ads section, users will be awarded 30 credits to their account covering the cost of a basic 30-day advertisement. Upgrade options, such as featured ads or highlighted ads, may be purchased for a modest fee.

MC Press Online Classified Ads are an ideal way to deliver messages to the IBM Power Systems (IBM i, AS/400, iSeries, System i, AIX and Linux) marketplace at an affordable, high traffic rate, according to Advertising Sales Manager Kara Stuart. In addition to the free post, links to classifieds will be found in advertisements throughout the MC Press Online web site and in newsletters distributed by email.

Classified advertisements are easy to post and go live immediately upon submission by way of a completely automated system that is available 24/7. Registered users can choose from a wide variety of categories and sub-categories designed specifically with IBM Power Systems users in mind.

Posting an ad requires four simple steps:

  1. Log into www.mcpressonline.com using your email/username and password. If unregistered, click the register option listed below the log-in button and fill out a form with contact information to activate an account.
  2. Click on Classifieds under the Marketplace heading in the left hand navigation bar.
  3. Check your credits in the upper right hand corner of the page under “My Ad Credits” where MC Press will have already credited registered users with 30 credits, enough to post a standard ad free of charge for 30 days. To purchase additional credits, click the “Buy Credits here” text link and do so via PayPal wizard.
  4. Click “New Ad” text at the top of the page, fill in the required fields and click the “Save” icon at the bottom of the page.
