Keynote by Adkins, Special Message from Palmisano
The Annual Meeting will kickoff on Monday, May 3, with the Opening Session, which will include a special message to the attendees from Sam Palmisano, IBM's chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer. The opening session also will feature a keynote address by Rod Adkins, senior vice president, IBM Systems and Technology Group. This is an unprecedented level of support and recognition of COMMON from IBM with representation at the 50th anniversary celebration by two of IBM's top executives.

Charity 5K Run/Walk
As part of the COMMON Cares initiative, COMMON has chosen to team up with the Florida Blood Centers to hold its second annual COMMON Charity 5K Run/Walk. The race will kick-off the 2010 Annual Meeting and Exposition, and will be held on Monday, May 3, beginning at 8:00 a.m. This run/walk is for everyone--whether you’re a seasoned runner, an early-riser, trying to get back into shape, or attending COMMON for the first time and just want to make new friends, consider taking part in this 5K charity race.
The race is open to all attending COMMON and to the Orlando community. The race will start and finish at the Hilton Orlando. Registration will begin at 7:00 a.m. After checking in, help yourself to the pre-race food, such as granola bars and bananas. The fee for participating in the 5K will be $35. Proceeds will be split between the COMMON Education Foundation (CEF) and Florida Blood Centers.
