International Business Systems (IBS), a global leading integrated ERP and supply chain provider, today announced it has globally launched Dynaman advanced warehouse management solution designed solely for the mid-market. This real-time distribution chain management product closes the loop between supply and demand.

"The supply chain is evolving at an unprecedented pace especially for mid-market companies, as customers and trading partners demand more services, visibility and value in shorter delivery times at a lower cost," said Doug Braun, chief executive officer, IBS.  "IBS Dynaman has the power and functionality to meet these demands today, and the configurability to address unforeseen changes as business evolves at a price that distributors can afford."

Dynaman, which has been used successfully in the Benelux region for 20 years by industry leaders including 2XL, Conad, Sockhabo, Osmeding, Dematra, Alidis and Euro-Fitting Management, is a warehouse management system (WMS) that gives companies full control over their distribution operations – managing the complexity of the supply chain with advanced WMS and MES features, but also with a focus on ease-of-use, adaptability and flexibility.

"Dynaman was the most functionally complete WMS solution capable of supporting our business to business and direct to consumer business models," said Jean Van Den Poel, chief executive officer, 2XL.  "We have a challenging multi-warehouse environment with more than 52,000 pallets that mandated consigned inventory support, full track and trace capabilities and a high level of customer service.  Dynaman delivered a 35 percent savings in transport costs; stock accuracy of 99.3 percent; improved lead times for multi modal transport and a significant improvement of KPIs."

IBS Dynaman has proven depth and breadth of functionality to uniquely support 3PL business models – from managing multiple inventory owners across multiple warehouses, to managing and supporting customer specific handling request, across diverse and complex logistics networks – and continually drive growth and flexibility through the 3PL supply-chain.

IBS Dynaman's open architecture makes it easy to integrate/interface with ERP and material handling solutions and is engineered to provide strict process control, data accuracy and complete visibility.  Irrespective of how IBS Dynaman is deployed - on-premise or in the cloud – it is proven to drive value across the supply chain by increasing efficiency, maximizing customer service, optimizing space and minimizing inventory costs.

IBS Dynaman's flexible rules-based engine controls the movement and storage of materials within a warehouse and processes the associated transactions, including shipping, receiving, put-away, picking, wave management, dock-to-stock and stock-to-dock cycle counting, reporting and analytics. It also directs and optimizes stock put-away based on real-time information about the status of bin utilization.  IBS Dynaman will host a webinar about making your warehouse your biggest asset on November 14 at 11 a.m. ET.

International Business Systems US

After a turbulent few years, IBS has become a revitalized business with long-tem and profitable structure. Now in its 33rd year, IBS is still the world leader in distribution resource management with offices and partners in over 40 locations and more than 4000 customers throughout the world.

International Business Systems, IBS, was founded in 1978, when Staffan Ahlberg and Gunnar Rylander decided to turn the IT division of Ekonomisk Företagsledning into an independent company. The company’s first major success was a global assignment to develop an order processing system for all of Alfa Laval’s international subsidiaries. This type of close, long-term partnership set the company on a course of exceptionally close cooperation with customers, which is the backbone of the current strategy for recovery.

The company joined the Stockholm Stock exchange in 1986 and around that time established close cooperation with IBM. IBS became one of the leading suppliers of software for the IBM AS/400 (now Series i). In 2001, IBS set a new record by achieving the highest transaction volumes ever recorded in IBM’s testing lab in Rochester, New York for the AS/400.

During the second half of last year, IBS launched an extensive program to transform inefficiency and loss into a revitalized operation with long-range profit-able growth. A new organization and an extensive cost-reduction program yielded quick results and the last two quarters of the year were much stronger than the first two. This trend has continued into 2011.

The appointment of Johan Bergs as new CEO and the development of a fundamentally new platform for business has turned the company in the right direction and has created a confidence and renewed focus which is characterizing the new IBS.
