Messaging Extension for Web Application Pattern V2.0 extends Web Application Pattern V2.0 to help reduce the amount of time cloud application writers would typically spend specifying, defining, and managing a WebSphere MQ messaging infrastructure required by their applications.
The initial release of Messaging Extension for Web Application Pattern was designed to be deployed into VMware ESX cloud groups. With the release of Messaging Extension for Web Application Pattern V2.0.0.1, the deployment capabilities are extended to support PowerVM cloud groups. Application dependencies are identified by Web Application Pattern, and Messaging Extension for Web Application Pattern can provide the means to automatically provision messaging resources to satisfy these dependencies when the application is deployed. Automatic provisioning removes the need for the application developer to perform these tasks. This consistent and repeatable cloud-deployed environment helps minimize the time required to put applications into production.
