HiT Software Announces Ritmo .NET Provider for Native Access to DB2 for i

HiT Software, a leader in Data Replication, and Change Data Capture products for heterogeneous database environments, announced the availability of the newest version of Ritmo/i, its .NET Provider designed specifically to provide data access to IBM DB2 for i. Ritmo/i now supports Microsoft LightSwitch RAD development tool and Entity Framework (EF) object-relational mapper for .NET through native IBM i protocols, assuring Microsoft and IBM developers of best performance when accessing host data.

 

"By adding support for LightSwitch and Entity Framework to Ritmo/i, developers can now take full advantage of IBM i data in their application development, regardless of which development approach they use," said Giacomo Lorenzin, Managing Director of HiT Software, Inc.

 

Ritmo/i v.6 uniquely leverages the IBM i Optimized Database Server (ODBS) protocol and requires no additional server software.

  • Integration with Visual Studio 2012, SQL Server 2012, SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT)

  • Support for  multi-value parameters in SSRS/SSDT (Reporting Services/Data Tools),   including support for access to listed parameter values
